Yes, there are a huge number of facilities or agencies who offer health care services. But, what about individuals who prefer to remain in the comfort and security of their homes? What if the home health agency discharges you once nursing or physical therapy is done?What if you live alone and your family is out of the area?
Under the direction of a medical doctor, home health agencies provide wonderful services as they provide for your acute medical needs. They provide therapy, provide nursing, call doctors and help with medication but what about your living arrangements. ?
They don't assist with phone calls or management of home repairs. They do not help with letters. Once insurance quits paying or benefits stop, so does the service that they provide. When this happens, individuals and families are frequently caught scrambling to ensure they do not slip in the cracks.
